The power of one

By Ivan Ho  17 Oct 16

But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand?
Mt 12:25‭-‬26 NKJV

The satanic kingdom is a united force and they have a leadership structure that works full time against God and His people.

The very reason why the devil can implement his wicked schemes on earth is that he can identify where human weak links are. The lion looks for the one that is isolated and detached from the family as the prey. The devil is always looking for an opening to attack those who are vulnerable. He divides and conquor. He identifies the sons of disobedience and uses them to advance his schemes in our church, families, cities and nations. He wants to cause disunity in the family so that he can kill, steal and destroy.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
1Peter 5:8 NKJV

When a person steps outside the realm of protection of the family, he or she becomes vulnerable to demonic attacks.

The power of one in Nehemiah

Recently I was reading Nehemiah 8, 9, 10 and was totally amazed by the power of oneness within the people of God that would only be seen again in the early church in the book of Acts.
Now all the people gathered together as ONE MAN in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate; and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the Book of the Law of Moses, which the Lord had commanded Israel. So Ezra the priest brought the Law before the assembly of men and women and all who could hear with understanding on the first day of the seventh month. Then he read from it in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate from morning until midday, before the men and women and those who could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law.
Nehemiah 8:1‭-‬3 NKJV
