Stay in tune with God

No fellowship with darkness

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

2 Corinthians 6:14‭-‬18

The above truth in the word of God is not given to us as a guideline or a suggestion. God commands His people not to be intimately yoked with unbelievers. That is not to say we should quarantine ourselves from the non-believing world, that we keep our social distancing from non-believers. What God means is that we do not have “fellowship” with unbelievers, that we should not be unequally yoked.

Fellowship is not socialising. When your heart is in tune with God, and my spirit is in tune with Him, we can have fellowship. If we are to fellowship with each other, we must first have fellowship with God through Jesus Christ.

We cannot have fellowship with God and at the same time have fellowship with demons, which is basically what the word of God says. We may have contact with the unbelieving world in order to bring light into darkness, but we must not allow our spirit become contaminated by having intimate relationships with those who carry a different spirit frequency.

Eve fell into sin because she started a conversation with the devil who disguised himself as a serpent. She thought it was just an innocent communication but before long, her heart was turned and was drawn away from the word of God.

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Genesis 3:1‭-‬6

It only took the devil to speak two sentences to turn Eve’s heart away from God. The first was questioning what God said, the second was subtly changing the words of God.

That’s what the devil is doing to the people of God today. He sends people, some disguising as teachers or what not, with the aim to entice us to disobey the word of God, either His written word or His spoken word over our lives. When God speaks to us, be sure that the devil will offer you a second opinion.

God seeks those who worship Him in spirit and truth

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.

John 4:23‭-‬24

Your WORSHIP touches the heart of God when you stay in the TRUTH of God’s word and your SPIRIT is in tune with the frequency of heaven.

When you are in the truth, you need to stay in the truth. When you are in tune with heaven, you need to constantly stay in tune with God’s frequency. We need to constantly fine tune our spirit man by reading the Word of God, prayers and fellowship with God. If you don’t constantly fine tune your guitar, it will go out of tune over time. In the same way, we need to constantly allow the Holy Spirit to fine tune our spirit. Just because we are in sync with God yesterday doesn’t necessarily mean we are always in tune with God everyday. The Holy Spirit speaks to us continuously to keep us in tune with His present truth.

Hope this word helps to fine tune your spirit like it does mine. Amen!
