God makes us for His purpose

God makes us for His purpose by Ivan Ho 16 Aug 2020   Ever since you and I were born, we were being formed. First we were formed by our parents, then by our education, our culture, religious upbringings, our friends and people around us, the books we read and so on. All these influences form us to become who we are growing up as a person. Some are good influences but there are all sorts of bad influences in the world around us as well. We grow up to become the kind of person being shaped by all kinds of external influences upon our lives. When Christ comes into a person’s life and he becomes born again, God begins a process of re-forming of the person from inside out. It is a major work of re-creation until the person becomes mature and fully formed in Christ. Often times, God has to undo a lot of the cultural and religious strongholds in our lives that we develop since...

Arise and reign with Christ

Arise and reign with Christ  by Ivan Ho     5 Aug 2020   Fresh Revelation: Demonic powers have no access to the third heavens as they have been casted down long BEFORE the creation of man on earth. The only realms the devil can operate is 2nd heaven and earth which he did when he tempted Eve to sin against God, and Adam fell as well. Since then, man has no direct access to God’s place of abode due to sin. God has to come down to communicate with man (and to deal with demonic powers as in Job). When Jesus died on the cross and was raised from the dead, our sins are forgiven and those who are in Christ can spiritually have access to the third heavens. We are seated with Christ in the heavenlies where we rule and reign with our Lord. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ,...

God is not a fortune teller

God is not a fortune teller by Ivan Ho 12 July 2020   God already knew Liverpool would win the title this season before a ball was kicked. But if He revealed it to us in the beginning all the fun and competition would have been gone. God isn’t into match fixing either so every team, every player would try their best to win every match. If you are not a football fan, think about watching a movie. If someone told you the ending of the story right from the beginning, would you enjoy watching it as much?In the same way, there are some things God knows must happen which He won’t reveal to us so that our faith in Him would not be undermined. Did Abraham know God would intervene before he sacrificed his own son Issac? Abraham didn’t know nor did Issac so that both their faith were tested. Abraham had faith in God that even if he killed his son that God would raise him...

God responds to your faith

God responds to your explicit faith by Ivan Ho    1 June 2020   Faith is visible The woman with the issue of blood had to press through the crowd and overcome fear of embarrassment to get her miraculous breakthrough. Jesus asked: “Who touched my garment?” indicating that he wasn’t aware that the woman was around. Jesus didn’t even notice the woman in the beginning but it didn’t stop her from making her presence felt. That’s why Jesus said to her: “YOUR faith has made you whole!”.   Now a woman, having a flow of blood for twelve years, who had spent all her livelihood on physicians and could not be healed by any, came from behind and touched the border of His garment. And immediately her flow of blood stopped. And Jesus said, “Who touched Me?” When all denied it, Peter and those with him said, “Master, the multitudes throng and...

Grace to build

Grace to build by Ivan Ho 27 May 2020   Nevertheless, brethren, I have written more boldly to you on some points, as reminding you, because of the grace given to me by God, that I might be a minister of Jesus Christ to the Gentiles, ministering the gospel of God, that the offering of the Gentiles might be acceptable, sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God. For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ has not accomplished through me, in word and deed, to make the Gentiles obedient— in mighty signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God, so that from Jerusalem and round about to Illyricum I have fully preached the gospel of Christ. And so I have made it my aim to preach the gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build on another man’s foundation, but as it is written:...

Know who is speaking to you

Know who is speaking to you by Ivan Ho 17 May 2020 A woman of Samaria came to draw water. Jesus said to her, “Give Me a drink.” For His disciples had gone away into the city to buy food. Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans. Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.”The woman said to Him, “Sir, You have nothing to draw with, and the well is deep. Where then do You get that living water? Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?” Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I...
