Testimonies of heaven and hell

Ian McCormack’s near death experience

I heard Ian McCormack give his testimony about his near death experience in a church in Melbourne some years ago. I believe his testimony about his encounter with Jesus is genuine.

There are quite a number of heaven and hell testimonies on youtube, not everyone is believable of course.

The way I discern the truthfulness or not of these testimonies is by asking these questions:
1. Does the experience align with Biblical teachings?
2. Is there a face and name of the person involved? Are there dates and places of the events when they happened? Are there other people around who can verify the testimony?

Some people think that after they die, that’s it, that there’s no more life beyond death. Others, Buddhists in particular, believe that they will reincarnate into other life forms after they die.

Little do they know, our spirits will continue to exist after death, it’s a matter of where our eternal destiny lies. After we die,  we will be with God in heaven forever if we are in Christ, or spend eternity to be tortured in hell, with no more hope of salvation if we reject Jesus during this present lifetime. Our eternal destiny will be based on our decision whether or not we repent from our sins and accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Saviour while we are still alive!

And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
