Unfeigned
\nan-oo-pok’-ree-tos<\/i>
\nundissembled, i.e. sincere: \u2013 without dissimulation (hypocrisy), unfeigned.<\/p>\nThe opposite of unfeigned is feigned<\/i>, which simply means hyprocrisy<\/i>.<\/p>\n
Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings, as newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.<\/em><\/span> 1 Peter 2:1-3<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
If there is unfeigned love, there must also be feigned love. If there is unfeigned faith, there is also feigned faith. We, as followers of Christ, must make sure that we walk in unfeigned faith (1Tim 1:5, 2Tim 1:5), loving others with unfeigned love (1 Pet 1:22), or else we are walking in hypocrisies. Love that is unfeigned is sincere and not centered on self.<\/p>\n
Hypocrites do not live according to what they confess or believe before God. They may act certain way before man, but their actions are external shows only that may fool people around them, but God knows what are in our hearts. We may act religious during Sunday worship in church, but live like unbelievers in the world the rest of the week.\u00a0 If we want to demonstrate unfeigned love to fellow brothers and sisters, we must first show forth unfeigned love towards God, or else we would behave like the hypocritical Pharisees.<\/p>\n
Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity<\/span>.<\/em> Matthew 23:28\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n
In the mean time, when there were gathered together an innumerable multitude of people, insomuch that they trod one upon another, he began to say unto his disciples first of all, Beware\u00a0ye\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0leaven\u00a0of the\u00a0Pharisees,\u00a0which\u00a0is\u00a0hypocrisy<\/span><\/em><\/span>.<\/span> Luke 12:1<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The Pharisees were spiritiual leaders who appeared righteous before man and liked the best seats in the synagogues but deep inside they were spiritually speaking, dead, because their hearts were far away from God.<\/p>\n
Wherefore the Lord said, Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honour me, but have removed their heart far from me, and their fear toward me is taught by the precept of men.<\/span><\/em><\/span> Isaiah 29:13<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Religious deceptions<\/strong><\/p>\n
We can still attend church and do all the religious things that satisfy the precept of men, but if our hearts are far away from God, it is useless. We are just deceiving ourselves. One of the biggest deceptions in people’s lives are religious deceptions. Religious deceptions come in the following way: false doctrines arising from hypocrisy of man.<\/p>\n
It’s one thing to be deceived, it’s a completely different matter, knowing that we are deceived, but continue to live in the deception. When we, being made aware of the deception, continue to walk in the same deceptive ways, we become a deceiver. A deceiver carries the deceptive ideas, doctrines and spread to the people around him or her. That’s why Jesus says: “Beware\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0leaven\u00a0of the\u00a0Pharisees,\u00a0which\u00a0is\u00a0<\/i>hypocrisy<\/i>“.<\/p>\n
Before I came to know Jesus, I was presented to a deceptive religion, when my friend from university, who was a devour Buddhist, shared how Guan Yin helped him to be accepted into university and studied abroad and so on. He gave me books to read, and brought me to home group meetings and also national gatherings. For over a year, I was fascinated by the “beautiful” philosophies of the Buddhist sect, and learnt how to connect with the energies and attain oneness with the universe through chanting.<\/p>\n
Thank God, Jesus delivered me from the deception and showed me that He is the only way, the truth and the life. I’ve never looked at Buddhism, or any other religion since. All religions of man have beautiful philosophies and ideas but have no power to connect us with the true God of the universe. Only Jesus Christ the Son of God, who came from heaven to earth as a human person, can connect man to the heavenly Father. If someone who can’t swim has fallen into the water, he can’t save himself. In fact, the more he struggles to try to save himself, the deeper he would sink into the water. He needs a saviour to save him or else he dies, no matter how hard he tries to save himself. All religions of man are deceptive because people are kept in their sins despite human efforts to try to save themselves. Only Jesus who alone has no sin has the power to save mankind from our sins.<\/p>\n
God wants to save those who have been deceived, not only by forgiving their sins, but also delivering them from deceptions.<\/p>\n
Religious deceptions today come to us in many ways, not only through the idealism and philosophies of non Christian religions, but also through the deceptive teachings from within the body of Christ. These religious leaders were once believers of Jesus, but have since departed from the faith, and spread their false teachings and doctrines in churches as leaders.<\/p>\n
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.<\/em><\/span> 1 Timothy 4:1-3<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Again, we see the same word hypocrisy<\/i> appear in the explicit warnings by the Holy Spirit. If we do not echo what the Spirit of God is saying, we are doing our brothers and sisters no favours, and we are not showing them unfeigned love<\/i>.<\/p>\n

\nacting under a feigned part, i.e. (figuratively) deceit (“hypocrisy”): \u2013 condemnation, dissimulation, hypocrisy.<\/p>\nIn the latter times, some will<\/em> (not may) depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy<\/em>.<\/p>\n
There are two extreme doctrines that the devil promotes in our societies today: 1) self imposed religious abstinence and 2) unrestrained liberalism. Both are just as dangerous.<\/p>\n
Self imposed abstinence<\/i>
\nGod gave Adam and Eve the freedom to eat from all the trees of the garden except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but the serpent suggested to Eve: “Did God say you are forbidden to eat from all<\/i> the trees in the garden?”<\/p>\nUnder such doctrine, things that God creates for mankind to enjoy are forbidden. People are supposed to live seclusive lives in such a way that marriage is forbidden, especially marriage that God ordains. Also, in some Christian sects, followers are commanded to abstain from certain meats, meats that God has created for us to eat. These are manifestations of human methodologies that try to attain right standings with God, not through grace and by faith in Jesus Christ, but by human abstinence and personal efforts.<\/p>\n
Unrestrained liberalism<\/i>
\nWhereas some religions forbid marriage and avoid certain foods, unrestrained liberalism teaches that people can marry whoever they “choose”, and eat anything which their bellies desire, with no restrictions at all.<\/p>\nAnd it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, t<\/em><\/span>hat the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. <\/em><\/span>And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.<\/em><\/span> Genesis 6:1-3<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Some theologians say that the sons of God in Genesis 6: 2 are angels, a notion which I disagree, simply because angels are not created with the ability to procreate. “Sons” in Genesis 6:2 are simply males and “daughters” are females, both human beings. God judged mankind\u00a0 because men were led by their hormones and took whoever they fancied as their wives, and God was totally uninvolved in the process. Under “free for all liberalism”, man eat whatever moves with no restrictions at all (such as bats and cockroaches in certain cultures), rather than “meats that God has created for us to eat with thanksgiving<\/em>“.<\/p>\n
Another form of unconditional liberalism is hyper grace doctrines which are spreading like wildfires in some churches. Basically, under such teachings, God is so full of grace that He never condemns sins nor does He judge anyone, that all our sins are forgiven past present and future without need for repentance.<\/p>\n
Unrestrained liberalism also manifests in the way people worship, that they worship gods whom they create according to their own images instead of the God of the Bible. Instead of man following the will of God, liberal religions worship gods who follow the dreams and fulfill the desires of individuals, dreams and desires that are centered on man rather than originating from God. A man (or woman) has the liberty to do whatever he wishes and God will bless his plans.<\/p>\n
We need to depart from such false teachings and influences and return to unfeigned faith in God and unfeigned love of the brethren.<\/p>\n
Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; <\/span><\/em>But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: <\/span><\/em>Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
