Beauty and the beast

Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”
Genesis 3:1-5

Amongst all of God’s creatures, the serpent must be one of the most unappealing animals. So of all things that walk in the garden of Eden, why did Eve entertained the serpent? Although the serpent had an ugly appearance, the devil had exceptional ability to talk and it was his words that attracted Eve. The voice of the evil one, just like a lot of philosophical/ religious ideologies in the world today, are fine sounding teachings which repackage and distort the original words of God with the ultimate aim to lead people away from God’s words and his plan, in so doing lead them to satan’s territories.

So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate.
Genesis 3:6

The power that satan has does not come from God, but are given by those people who disobey God. If you are not living by the word of God, then by default you are subject to the control and manipulation of the devil. Only Jesus Christ has the power to deliver us from satan’s kingdom of darkness.

The ability to discern the voice of God as opposed to the noice of the devil must be one of the most powerful gifts of the Holy Spirit given to us. Not every one we meet everyday is heaven sent. Some people who approach us are actually satan’s messengers. We need to proactively choose to hear God’s voice and reject the voice of the devil.

I am not writing this blog ‘soundofdestiny’ because I have nothing better to do. Hopefully with God’s help, through this platform, I can bring the sound from God that will lead people from various parts of the world to their God given destiny.

 

美女與野獸

耶和華神所造的，惟有蛇比田野一切的活物更狡猾。蛇對女人說：「神豈是真說不許你們吃園中所有樹上的果子嗎？」 女人對蛇說：「園中樹上的果子，我們可以吃， 惟有園當中那棵樹上的果子，神曾說：『你們不可吃，也不可摸，免得你們死。』」 蛇對女人說：「你們不一定死； 因為神知道，你們吃的日子眼睛就明亮了，你們便如神能知道善惡。」
創世記 3章1-5節

ㄧ般人見到蛇都會「走夾唔唞」，那為什麽厦娃會同佢傾計? 因為撒旦是很懂得説話的惡者，别以為魔鬼是個惡魔，他的説話卻很有説服力，很吸引人。但其實他把神原本的說話，改頭換面，重新包装，聽落好似好好聽。 現今世上很多有説服力的人，背後其實是魔鬼派來的代言人，目的是要帶人離開神的話語及神預先為我們安排的道路，走到撒旦的領域中。

於是女人見那棵樹 的果子 好作食物，也悅人的眼目，且是可喜愛的，能使人有智慧，就摘下果子來吃了又給她丈夫，她丈夫也吃了。
創世記 3章6節

其實魔鬼的力量，不是從神來的，而是背棄神的人給予他的。若你不活在神的道上，你已落入魔鬼的圈套。只有耶穌基督有能力把我們從撒旦掌管的黑暗國度釋放出来。

分辨從神或撒旦口中所出的聲音的能力，是聖靈給我們最重要的恩賜之ㄧ。你我每天遇見的人，不都是什麽「緣份」，我們要有分辨的智慧，選擇跟隨那ㄧ方面來源的聲音。

我寫的微博 (blog): soundofdestiny 不是我得閒無事在網上借題發揮，而是希望藉著這個平台把神的聲音帶到世界每ㄧ個角落，目的是讓主的聲音帶你進入神的生命安排 (Destiny)裏。
