Unmasking the spirit of Jezebel

4. Jezebel contaminates the water at the source

Revelation: Contamination comes from the top not from the bottom. If the water is contaminated at the lower streams, it will be washed away easily. However, if it is contaminated at the source, the whole supply of water will be contaminated.

That’s why pastors who place themselves at the top of a pyramid structure are easy targets for the enemy. The spirit of Jezebel often aligns with and attacks people in positions at the top of the hierarchy.

The woman at the well was drinking pure water from Jesus who changed her life, and she was used to impact the city for the kingdom of God. By contrast, if a woman drinks water from a polluted source, her life would be messed up and she would become a damaging influence to the people around her. If such a woman being influenced by the spirit of Jezebel calls herself a pastor or prophetess, how much damage will she cause to the people immediately under her influence? While Jesus used the woman at the well to extend the kingdom of God, the spirit of Jezebel influences leaders to supply contaminated waters for the kingdom of darkness.

Contaminated water is very subtle and often tastes good and appeals to the soul. If one drinks from this polluted source day by day, he or she will eventually die a slow death without knowing about it. The devil had been speaking with Eve for a while until she finally fell for the temptation.

Jesus raised up His followers as team members

Jesus raised up 12 apostles and multiple disciples so that if one fell, like Judas did, God’s kingdom structure remained extremely strong. Imagine you remove a brick out of a wall, it doesn’t affect the integrity nor the structure of the wall at all. Jesus is the cornerstone who raises up apostles and prophets to lay the foundations.

Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto an holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.
Ephesians 2:19‭-‬22 KJV

While Jesus fits each member in the body of Christ into His kingdom plan and purpose, the devil’s scheme is to pull the people of God out of their positions and get them busy with things that are not ordained by God.

Jesus sets people in positions and geographic locations until such time He promotes them or sends them to other places. It is always Jesus who does the sending and those who aren’t sent by God went in their own authority, sometimes to other cities and churches to cause divisions.

And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.
Job 1:7 KJV

The devil likes to roam around, back and forth looking for opportunities, seeking those whom he may devour. The soul that wanders around is easily unsettled by demonic temptations and prospects offered by the devil. The person who doesn’t know how he fits in God’s kingdom is often isolated and become easy prey for the enemy. That’s why God sets people in families and local churches where they function as a body and protect each other.

The keys of the Kingdom isn’t just given to one man which is the error of the religious hierarchy with its headquarters in Rome and other churches that follow similar structure. God doesn’t use a single man to oversee His church but instead He raises a company of followers who work as a team. If one of His followers think he is higher than others, Jesus has to straighten him up and teaches him to be a servant or a minister. That’s what the word minister means: to serve, not to dominate, manipulate and dictate terms over others.

But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
Matthew 20:26‭-‬28 KJV

Judas was contaminated because of self ambition. The love of money made him sell his master for 30 pieces of silver. He wanted to start his own business while being part of the company. After his death, his position was replaced by someone as a result of a group decision, not just Peter alone.

David, when he faced Goliath, carried with him five stones so that if he missed with his first shot, he still had 4 more bullets. Today, many churches only have a one man pastor at the top of the tree. Where are the other fivefold ministers in the churches? The pastors get all the honours and provisions from the church but the rest of the ministers are often being ostracized, or made to fit in with the hierarchy.

It is rather silly to face the enemy with a one bullet gun unless you are as accurate as David. Well, even he was smart enough to bring more bullets with him.

Drink from your own well

6 Oct 2021

To avoid being deceived, we need to be careful who speak into our lives, especially those who are strangers being used by the enemy to sabotage our destiny in God. As the scriptures says:

Drink from your own well instead of wells of strangers. Proverbs 5:15‭-‬17

Hear the voice of the good shepherd instead of the voice of strangers. John 10:1‭-‬5

If people climb in the sheepfold who are not sent by Jesus, they are likened to thieves and robbers. The thief comes to steal, kill and destroy. The thief is not the devil but a man or a woman who comes in to bring destruction and divisions in the churches.

Do not go outside to look around for teachers and spiritual advisors who are strangers, or allow anyone who comes in who are not sent by Jesus to be your spiritual guru or counselor, or else you will easily be deceived or misled. They are servants of the enemy, not servants of God. Just because one speaks like or put on the clothes of a shepherd doesn’t mean he or she is God sent.

When the Spirit of God has departed from Saul, he was also rejected as king of Israel. But he continued to rule as king until his death.

When God is no longer with a leader and he continues to pastor, prophesy, quote scriptures, he or she is doing religion by soulish power and in his own authority. Be careful who you follow.

Find out where your own supply of water comes from and drink from it. The water that you drink must be from your own well. The water must be running and not stale. The water must be pure and not contaminated. The water must be of the Spirit and not of the flesh.

On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying,  “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
John 7:37‭-‬38 NKJV
