Prayers that bring results

If any of you lacks money, recognition, self esteem, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.
James 1:5 BMV
Sorry that is according to the “Bless Me Version” written by motivational speakers.
Let me go to the New King James Version:
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.
James 1:5-8 NKJV
If we want to ask anything from God, we need to first find out God’s wisdom: “What is God’s heart and mind, what is His will on the matter?” “What does He want?” instead of “what do I want?” When we found out God’s wisdom on the matter, whatever we ask according to His mind will be given to us. Unless we realise God’s wisdom and align our mind accordingly, the things we ask according to our own wisdom will be in vain. God only grants us what He wants for us, and what He wants for us is the best.
If we ask a child to pick and choose what he or she wants, he will often make choices that are not for his best interest. We need to teach the child the way of God so that he can make the right choices.
A double-minded man is one who constantly switches between godly wisdom and worldly wisdom. That person goes to church and listens to sermons week in week out but at the same time draws wisdom from the world. His mind is unstable and undecided as to whether God’s words would have the final say or not. He is undecided that God’s words and God’s will is the way to go. He still responds to what the world offers him and goes “wow, I want that!”
When a man or a woman’s mindset is unsettled, he or she will be tossed to and fro between what is God and what is Not. The Bible says: “Let not that man suppose he will receive anything from the Lord”.
So before we pray about anything, get into the presence of God and receive His word and find out His wisdom, then when we ask accordingly, it will be granted to us liberally. And when we ask, let out heart be settled and not doubt. Keep trusting in God until His will for our life comes to past! Let us ask in FAITH without doubting, and whatever we ask according to God’s agenda will be given to us.
