Pathway to Eternal Life 2

Recently, someone said to me: “Isn’t it unfair that no matter what people have done in their lives, if they believe in Jesus they go to heaven, and if they don’t believe in Him they go to hell?”
If that is your question as well, let me say this: “To believe in Jesus means you believe in who Jesus says He is, that He is the Son of God who came to earth about 2000 years ago and died for the sins of mankind, and that He was resurrected 3 days after. However, just because Jesus died for the sins of the world does not mean that everyone is saved automatically.
Jesus says: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life”
He goes on to say: “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”
First, decide whether or not you believe in Jesus and what He says before analysing whether or not the condition to heaven (or hell) is fair or not.
We need to first and foremost take Jesus at His words. He says that: “He who does not believe is condemned already” which is the status of all those who do not believe in Jesus. God does not want to send anyone to hell and that’s why Jesus came to die for our sins. But just because He died for our sins does not mean that everyone is automatically saved. Every person must come to a point in his or her life and ask: “Do I believe in Jesus who died on the cross and was resurrected 3 days after?” “Do I carry on living my life as if there is no God who governs my life, or do I follow Jesus as my Lord and Saviour?”
To believe in Jesus is not just an intellectual acknowledgment that He is God the Son. Even the devil believes that Jesus was the Son of God but satan refuses to bow down to Him. It’s like some Americans would say: “Trump is not my president”. Donald Trump is presently the president of United States of America whether or not they accept it or not. Jesus Christ is the Creator and King of the universe whether or not you accept it or not.
Your priests did not die for your sins. It’s useless to confess your sins to them for they are sinners just like everyone else. Only Jesus who knew no sin can save us sinners from condemnation.
Jesus Christ, in His mercy, has offered us a pathway to eternal life through Him. You sins will be forgiven if you repent and decide to follow Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. If you do that, you become a born again child of God in His kingdom.
