In tune with God’s frequency

Many people interpret the bible or dreams and visions according to their own limited understanding or according to their own circumstances, and thereby get into errors. When they read the bible or hear a message, their first point of reference is often self.

When Abraham heard God speak about his seed, his initial thinking was directed towards someone who was born in his household as he had no child. That was his first error.

After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. And Abram said, Lord God, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house is this Eliezer of Damascus? And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir. And, behold, the word of the Lord came unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.
Genesis 15:1‭-‬4 KJV

After some years gone by when Sarah was still barren at an old age, Abraham took his wife’s wrong advice and gave birth to Ishmael through Sarah’s maidservant Hagar. That was his second blunder which resulted in long lasting conflicts. More often than not, people close to us carrying the wrong frequencies could jam the frequency of God and give us wrong counsels.

Now Sarai Abram’s wife bare him no children: and she had an handmaid, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar. And Sarai said unto Abram, Behold now, the Lord hath restrained me from bearing: I pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai.
Genesis 16:1‭-‬2 KJV

Lack of understanding and patience often led God’s people to making wrong decisions that they would regret later. Thank God, despite Abraham and Sarah’s errors, God was faithful to His covenant when Issac was born according to His promise. However, it did not happen until both Abraham and Sarah aligned themselves to the frequency of God’s words.

Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.
Hebrews 11:11 KJV

And the Lord visited Sarah as he had said, and the Lord did unto Sarah as he had spoken. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.
Genesis 21:1‭-‬3 KJV

When God speaks, we must hear Him by tuning to His frequency and be enlightened by the Holy Spirit to understand what God is actually saying. Sometimes there are communication breakdowns because the messenger and the hearer are operating from different frequencies, like two parties speaking in their own native language that the other party doesn’t understand.

When Jesus spoke to the multitudes, not everyone in the crowd understood and became His followers. Having a big church or network doesn’t mean much when most people in the congregation aren’t tuned in to the same frequency of the Holy Spirit. Jesus used parables to address the crowd and explained the parables only to His disciples who were following Him.

If you don’t understand what God is saying, you won’t understand God’s will. If you don’t understand God’s will, you can’t walk in it.
